Ok, real talk, I don’t know about all of you but I’m (nearly) 21 years into the habit of overcommitting myself to things and not leaving enough time to look after myself. I know, I know, it's not a good habit. That’s one of the things I’m planning on working on going into my 21st year of life this year.
Self-care is all about taking care of yourself and prioritizing your own well-being. This can include physical self-care, such as practicing good hygiene and taking care of your skin, as well as mental self-care, such as managing your emotions and reducing stress.
When it comes to skin care, there are a few simple steps you can take to keep your skin looking healthy and radiant. First, it's important to cleanse your skin daily to remove dirt, oil, and makeup. This will help to prevent clogged pores and breakouts. Next, use a hydrating moisturizer to help nourish your skin and protect it from the elements.
It's also important to protect your skin from the sun by using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. This will help to prevent sunburn and long-term damage from the sun's UV rays. And don't forget to drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out!
In addition to physical self-care, it's important to also take care of your mental and emotional health. This can include activities such as meditation, journaling, or exercise, which can help to reduce stress and improve your mood. It's also important to connect with others and build a support network of friends and family who can be there for you when you need them.
Overall, self-care is about taking the time to prioritize your own well-being and make sure you are healthy both physically and mentally. By taking care of your skin and your mental health, you can feel your best and be ready to take on whatever life throws your way.
